Oh, the commissions never stop. Which is good! Because I'm broke. ;)

Another Lulu set should be ready to go out the door tomorrow, plus another Howl set. After that I've got a Garnet pendant (FFIX) I need to have out in two weeks, plus some neat music note pendants about two weeks after that.

Plus! I'm working on a set of original jewelry that I should have up and ready to sell in a couple of weeks. Busy, busy! :D

Just a quick update to link a picture of the Sailor Moon commission I've been working on.

Man! It has been a crazy month. I keep getting all these last minute commissions I can barely get out on time. I have this one and another one ready to mail out tomorrow, after which I'll get a bit of a breather. Yay! XD

As you can see there's still a bit of assembly to be done; I'll take care of that tomorrow before I sent it out the door. :)

Sailor Moon commish is moving right along. Earrings are finished (sans gluing), and I just got the brass for the tiara in, so I'll start on that while I wait for the findings I ordered to arrive. I'm a bit concerned because I received a thicker gauge brass than I ordered, but I'll tackle it anyhow and hope it works out. Don't think I'll be ordering my brass from that company in the future, though. ><

Been  a bit bad on the updates lately, sorry about that! Here's a quick snapshot of my current commissions:

- Serah's earrings and necklace: Complete and ready to ship!
- Full Sailor Moon set: In progress
- FFXI corsair necklace: Up after the SM commission.

Serah's necklace is finished, and I'm just waiting for the resin to finish curing so I can finish off Fang's stuff. Everything'll be done Monday morning and shipped out Monday afternoon.

Slow update, many apologies! Finally got the mold to do what I wanted, and the first resin cast seems to have gone nicely! I'll need to pick up some finer sandpaper than the stuff I have on hand, because the resin came out quite matte and opaque, so it needs to be buffed up to a nice glossy shine.

Ideally, I'd like to have this commission mailed out on Monday, barring any difficulties. Fingers crossed!

Next time I have the option between cheaper and faster, I will take faster. Making molds from liquid latex is the most mind-numbingly time consuming thing EVER. The rubber would have been so much faster and easier, and it wasn't that much more expensive. *sigh* Lesson learned.

I shall do-si-do with this liquid latex one more time, and if it doesn't turn out I'm going to have to invest the rubber. I just don't have the time to waste with trial and error on this commission if I want it out in time.

Got the chain for Serah's necklace done today. Had some nice freshwater pearls on hand that worked out really well. :) Also got the clay models done for the purple part of Fang's necklace and earrings, as well as a sphere to model the round part of Serah's necklace on. I'll start on the molds tomorrow -gotta run down to Home Depot a get a respirator first. Don't want all those lovely fumes to go damaging my lungs beyond repair or anything.

Now that I've come out of my Final Fantasy XIII induced coma, I'm ready to get back in the saddle. With two FFXIII commissions on the list, actually. ;)

Also a quick note: I'll be out of town from May 11th to May 25th (Disneyworld!), so I won't be taking any new commissions during that time, or any short term commissions after April 15th.

And the Lulu commission is finished! It was a big, fat pain in the keister challenge, and I'm happy to see it go out the door. My other comissions aren't due up until April/May, so I have plenty of time to relax and get my Final Fantasy on. =D

Also, I discovered it's cheaper to ship to Belgium than it is to ship within Canada. How backwards is that?
